Johnny Allen is co-founder and Executive Director of Hoskins Park Ministries. Previously he was HPM's Program Director. He was born in Fort Valley Georgia and raised in Atlanta. Johnny has one daughter and a granddaughter back in Georgia. Johnny has been in Charlotte NC since 2000 when he came here to start a ministry for the homeless. Johnny began working at a young age and held many jobs but mainly an entrepreneur. He started his own vacuum cleaner company and a few others businesses that he did for about 12 years. While having his own business the tables turned for the worse and Johnny began using drugs. Then in 1996 Johnny went to Mission Corps International, which is a ministry for the lost as well as works a recovery program for addicts. Mr. Allen was a Participant for 7 months before he began on the staff as an assistant. He then worked his way up Program Director and then went off to Tennessee to start another branch of this ministry. Two years later Johnny came to Charlotte NC wanting to have his own ministry for the Homeless. He wanted to show them grace and Love just as Jesus did for him. Pastor Johnny Allen is now married to Margaret Anderson and is a step father to 4 girls and a grandfather of 14 grandchildren.
