Kurt's House

Kurt Wiltsey

Kurt Wiltsey

Kurt Wiltsey was a friend of Hoskins Park from inception. As a passionate follower of Jesus Christ Kurt also reached out to the less fortunate himself, taking in homeless men to his own house, clothing them, feeding them, helping them move closer to God and being a friend to them, just as the Bible tells us to do in Matthew 25:40. He also developed fatherly relationships with a few less fortunate kids who grew up with Kurt, and whom he supported as a surrogate parent. He was an inspiration to those of us who knew him as a devoted follower of our Lord Jesus Christ. He was the one up front at church during the worship part of the service, praising God and many times on his knees in a position of humility before his Lord. Unfortunately Kurt became sick with cancer and died within about six months of diagnoses. For those of us that were with him until the end, it appeared to us that Kurt fought the good fight and hung on to Jesus until the end of his life. And now we are joyful knowing he is with Jesus in Heaven. We named the house after this Kurt, the one who lived with an eternal perspective and who made it clear to all who knew him, that he lived to glorify his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It should also be known that “Kurt’s House” currently houses three previously homeless men and his picture is framed on the wall of the house. It is a tribute to a wonderful man, friend and witness of Jesus. We love and miss our friend Kurt and look forward to seeing him again one day. To Christ Be The Glory!

Thanks be to God, Kurt’s house is completed! These are not the latest pictures, I still need to take a camera out, but you will see the improvement. Thanks for all of you who have prayed for the completion of this house and supported us financially. We know this is a difficult time for everyone, which only increases the need for houses like Kurt’s. Blessings! -Tom Wheeler, Exec. Director

Kurt’s house is coming along and should be completed in the next 30 days (by July 1st)! We just found an electrician to help finish the electrical work and then Bobby and Tim (two of our participants) will likely finish the rest of the house. I will try to get new pictures on-line soon so you can see our progress. Thanks to all who have contributed to this house.

We can still use contributions from those who want to help! Just hit the link and it will show you how!

Thanks again and may God continue to bless you with His presence in your life!

-Tom

Hi everyone! Yes, we are honoring Kurt Wiltsey by renovating an inner city house and naming it “Kurt’s House.” It will house folks who were previously homeless. Right now it looks like the Lord wants His men in the house, although it could become a home for woman or woman and children, depending on the Lord’s guidance. This house is clearly God’s but will honor Kurt’s passion to help the least of God’s children (Matthew 25:40). If you can help financially, please do so. We (Hoskins Park) need the help to complete the renovation by a friend of Kurt’s (Steve Wile), by the participants of Hoskins Park Ministries and Life/Home Groups of FHC and SCCC. Believe me, this is a good cause and you will see the fruit of your donation, if you would like to contribute.

Thanks for your faithful support of God’s work, your love for Him, and your mutual love and friendship of Kurt Wiltsey. He is alive indeed! Oh, and please pray we raise the funds quickly! We’d like to get this finished by March 15th!”

This challenged house is going to be transformed into “Kurt’s Home.” We have done this before so don’t worry, it will look great when we get done, at least with your help. So, thanks for your help in making the transformation possible! Oh, and remember, “With God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26!
